Top Two Tuesdays

Top 2 things you've learned about friendship

Happy Tuesday! Good news... Monday is over, bad news... its a long 4 days until the weekend. Bachelor recap to come... no worries. For now, lets focus on the positive... friendship. The most amazing gift in life is having great friends by your side in the thick and then, good times and bad...

1. I've learned that maintaining close friendships isn't easy. It IS work. Constant work. There has to be the effort on both sides. This has been huge for me since moving to Georgia. I constantly have to make the effort to call or text my friends since I don't get to see them as much as I would like. Even at the end of the day when your tired or exhausted that one little text or call can make a world of difference

2. Friends change, your best friend growing up may not be your best friend later in life. I'm at a point now where friends can be...interesting. I either have friends that are married, settled, or in a serious relationship. Then I have friends that are all about going out, having a good time, partying it up and meeting new people. It was definitely a challenge for me to learn that this is OK, to not necessarily be at the same level as all your friends are or if they don't understand why I'm married and just don't want to go out all the time.

Like I said... friends are work, it can be a challenge and it can create heartache. But there is nothing in the world like amazing friends!

My Husband...

Happy Monday!! I soo hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It was 70 and sunny here in Atlanta and I can say by far we had the most amazing weekend. No plans no agenda, just my husband and I having soo much fun and enjoying our 2 days of freedom. Sooo onto the title of this post. Let me go back a little bit... do any of you just have those moments randomly when you step back from life and just reflect on your situation, your life and everything in it?! Mine came Saturday afternoon as hubs and I were driving home from errands with the sunroof open and music on... we were stopped at a red light when we hear sirens and maybe 50 yards away see this older man standing out by the road... he was waiting for the ambulance and fire truck to arrive. Jerm and I started thinking and talking about that situation... did his wife fall, did she have a heart attack, what was he thinking, was he ok, was SHE ok. It really hit us both and I think we both said a silent prayer. That poor man... you just wanted to go give him a hug and hope everything was ok.

It got me thinking about MY husband. There is no one in this world that makes me mad like he does. There is no one that can get under my skin and just GET to me like he can. But there is NO ONE that God could have created in this world to be more perfect and amazing than my husband is. I see on Twitter and on Facebook of wives that post about randomly coming home to a clean house or a cooked dinner- that is my husband daily. He is constantly DOING for me and providing for me regardless of how tired he is or how long of a day he has had. He constantly thanks me for providing for us while he is in school and he constantly reminds me of the pay off in the end. As much as I miss Nashville and I miss my friends and my family and my old job and well EVERYTHING about being home he reminds me this is God's plan not ours, this is God's way of strengthening our marriage and our commitment and well... I couldn't ask for anything more.

So my reflection this weekend, my step back from reality...I am one incredibly lucky lucky wife. God has provided beyond messure... and although it may not be how and where I want it to be... my husband makes it completely worth getting up everyday and making this journey just one more time. So, old man standing at the road waiting for the amubance for whatever reason might be going on in your life... thank you. Thank you for helping my life and for helping me to acknowledge another one of God's amazing blessings in my life.

I hope you can reflect...step back even for just a few minutes to see your blessings in life. It can be hard to find at times, but if we all look close enough... my GOD how blessed we are!

From beginning till now...

Happy Monday!

What I'm loving Wednesday

I must say I did wake up this morning in a not good mood because I woke up and realized- It's ONLY Wednesday. Shouldn't it be at least Friday afternoon by now. Followed by another miserable almost 2 hour commute into the office and well.. That was the start to my Wednesday. On a more positive note the light bulb has officially gone off... I Need MUST  lose weight. Like seriously. I've kinda known this for a while- well since the wedding when I have done NOTHING. But today just was that day I said OK DONEZO FATSO time to get your act together! Soo onto what Im loving:

I'm loving this new website to help me watch my calories and monitor my progress Spark people It's a super easy way to monitor what your eating and what you need to do to get down to your target goal. My goal is May 1 to lose 20 pounds. Yes this seems like a lot. But I just feel that I would be more comfortable around this. More to come

I'm loving warm weather expected to hit Atlanta this weekend. Now when I say warm I mean sunny and ALMOST 60 but after the winter we have had I'll take it

I'm loving my new excitement to get skinny and fit. It's almost overwhelmingly exciting to think about being in shape and skinny. Granted my exercise will be difficult since I'm a shoulder down and a lot of workouts really wont work for me right now so time to focus on MY eating habits and not eating like MY HUSBAND's eating habits

I'm loving that spring is right around the corner and all the exciting events I have upcoming with friends back home. I'm sure you all get the message often that I get/am pretty homesick. I miss the random dinner and wine dates with the girls.

I'm loving upcoming craft night with the girls to make a spring wreath... nothing like a good  craft day to brighten the spirits!

As always I'm Loving the hubby and all the hard work he does for me and for us and for the house. Such a wonderful blessing

Bachelor Recap

Sooo last night of the Bachelor was again one of those I found myself staring at the TV in shock one moment and laughing at the craziness of these girls the next. First things first-

If it rains on your wedding day it is good luck, if it rains on your first date on The Bachelor not so much. Goodness.

Secondly- umm could Michelle be MORE CRAZY. First of all she had a mysterious black eye, she wants to punch every other girl that even looks at Brad (can someone remind her she is on a TV show) and well she is just all around psycho. And WORST of all Brad likes her. Are you kidding me!

Next: Ashley H.- I really liked you in the beginning however last night you were on the verge of "that girl" please chill, Brad likes you, your cute (my husband thinks so too) and your fine. You, as well, are on a TV show and you knew what you were getting into. He WILL be kissing other girls

Oh my goodness Emily I am officially in love with you. She is sooo beautiful, has the best personality and is soo sweet and down to earth and not crazy like these other girls. I was flipping out when Brad did the little picnic for her last night. Like HELLO!! I am soo anxious for next week at the group date at the race track. I soo want her to win. She is adorable!

What were your thoughts?! Anyone else REALLY into this Bachelor?! I really like it so far :)
