Wedding Wednesday- And it's here!

Well.... here we are. It is THE wedding Wednesday! Yes, in 3 days the big Hoorah is finally here and I am.... surprisingly extremely calm. It's odd- everyone around me is flipping out and jumping around more than me!? Why is this?! I think I still have a lot on my mind, the word 'wedding' is just engraved in my brain and like I've said before I'm just ready for it to be here and enjoy the day and to move on~

There is also a lot that kind of hits you before you get married- the entire time leading up to the wedding it's just planning for the event and festivities of it but as you get to the point where it's days away there is a lot of thoughts that kind of run through your head. Maybe I'm becoming at peace with all this craziness and just preparing myself to take on this responsibility of a wife and partner in front of God and 200 of my closest friends :) (noo sarcasm at all)

Anywho- so today is my last day at work before the wedding! Tomorrow is full of running last minute errands, mani/pedi's (thank goodness) taking all the STUFF to the golf course for the wedding and oh yea packing for the next week and half (eek- as most women I know I am a huge overpacker- not so much with the little stuff but it's really hard for me to commit on Wednesday what I'm going to want to wear NEXT Saturday, I mean come on that's kinda asking a lot). The problem with this is as we fly the friendly skies to Mexico we aren't on my favorite airline that understands this womenly issue with bags
Sadly we will be on that "other" airline that feels the need to charge $25 a bad after your 1st bag! GRRRR! OK besides the point I know I know because in 4 whopping days I will be here

With something that resembles this in my hand

Ahhh soo wish me luck over the next couple days! I won't have a computer from here on out but no worries I activated my Blackberry Blogger so I can post snipbits along the way! I hope you all have a FABULOUS 12 days without me! I will be a blogging machine (and much happier married woman) when i return with WEEK OF WEDDING post events!

PS- Props to blogger for the MUCH better picture uploader thingy! We can upload more than 1 pic at one now! AWESOME!!!(this will come in mighty handy for wedding week)

Top Two Tueaday- Characters

I just love the creative stuff that Taylor comes up with for Top Two Tuesday! As soon as I saw this I instantly knew what my first one would be! I am a HUGE Desperate Housewives fan! Like a "don't you dare mess with me at 8:00pm on Sunday's unless it is an emergency or someone is dying and if you even think about calling you are most certainly not getting an answer from this gal" Anywho- I would love to be Eva Longoria-Parker (Gabby) on the show! She is always dressed amazingly and looks perfect! I WANT to have her body!

I could soo have the cute neighborhood lifestyle with all the women (minus the drama and killing of course) but yes I am OBSESSED with this show!

My second character was a little harder for me- I would have to say (and not being a copycat) I have always thought over the years of watching the Bachelorette how much fun that would be to see all the behind the scene drama, fun and juciy stuff not to mention getting to travel to all the amazing places (well only if I could bring Mister along too)! I have such a desire to travel and see the world one day! So I am going to say Chris Harrison! What a cool job that guy has- and UMMM has anyone seen Bachelor Pad!? I mean WOW!

OK your turn! What would be your top two?!

HAPPY TUESDAY!

All Things Monday

Happy Monday All! I hope you had fan-tabulous weekend! Mine was just what the doctor ordered! After a week of house sitting I went back home on Saturday which was wonderful- I am extremely OCD organized and have to have things like I like them so as nice as it was to be a bit closer to the office and hang out with these two guys....
it was nice to get home, get laundry done and get my car into order from the collections over the week!

Saturday evening I went with the parentals to 3rd and Lindsley to listen to some artist which was just so nice and relaxing! I rarely get to go out these days with all things moving, wedding, job etc (the usual) so I NEEDED really enjoyed my couple glasses of wine, unhealthy chicken quesadilla and live music! I will also thoroughly enjoy regaining this since of normal life in approx. 5 DAYS!!

YES, thats right in 5 whole days it is FINALLY wedding day and I could not be happier! Everyone the past few weeks has kept asking if I am nervous- well the butterfly stomach finally kicked in yesterday afternoon as I was building my centerpieces and thought WHOA this is REALLY about to happen! YAY! 3 day work week and then I'm officially off to wedding LA LA land and Honeymoon PARADISE!

Speaking of yesterday- does anyone have those days where you don't shower or put on a hint of makeup all day, stay in your sweats and just do NOTHING?! Thats how my Sunday was, and it was SPECTACULAR! I slept in, watched TV, built all my centerpieces, hung out with the parents and just did NOTHING! We grilled steaks followed by wine drinking and sitting outside- it was perfect! JUST what the wedding doctor ordered! I love nothing more than hanging out with my family and just doing nothing! It's just such a blessing to have wonderful parents that you can just chill with!

**sidenote- before you think i am a bad person for my wine drinking, lack of showering and not going to church i pinky blog promise once I get to Atlanta and settled I will resume all normal activities that include church every sunday, showering and not being lazy! However one measly little Sunday like yesterday just did the body good! I hope you understand :)

OK well thats all I got for ya today! Nothing exciting sorry :) Hope you all have a wonderful Monday! I am in WEDDING WEEK MODE!! YIIPPEEEE
Headed my way!!!

Just had to share

Found this tonight and thought it was just absolutely amazing (not to mention I squaled my eyes out the entire time)! How wonderful are our troops that serve us everyday and so selfless to leave their families to protect and serve. We can never thank them for what they do.

Favorite Fridays- De-stress

Head on over to A Girl in Pearls and A Boy with Toys for this weeks Favorite Friday- The topic this week is how do you De-stress! HOW PERFECT for me right now since ummm well my wedding is a week and 1 day away and as you all have been subjected to (soo sorry) my life has been one big stress pot! So I got to thinking if I could have the perfect de-sress what would I do.... first and foremost I would LOVE a Spa Day

This would be the most amazing thing ever for me! Just relax, think about nothing, get a massage, drink Mimosas and indulge. Ahhh I can already feel the relaxation coming on now- BRING ON THE HONEYMOON!

My number 2 de-stress is quite obvious for any of you that actively read my blog-

This might sound horrible but I love my glass of wine in the evening. It just helps me relax and chill and get my mind cleared. Some might think this is wrong but for me wine just "does the trick"

See I really am a simple girl at heart! I just need to get through this wedding, move, job transition, cluster disorganized mess I am living in!

I hope you all have a fantastic relaxing weekend! I will be doing ALL things wedding!

We serve an Almighty God! Lift up his name and Praise!

Thoughtless Thursday Thoughts and a Missing Watch

Right now I only have 1 thought going through my head- last night I went to do the final cleaning on my apartment before I turned my keys in- this was a cluster since it was 100 degrees out, making 20+ trips to the dumpster with only a pink basket I found and the drawer of the fridge (yea I was NOT a happy camper). Especially when I had to clean a lot of BOTH parts of the cleaning agenda- GRRR thats another story. Anywho so 2 1/2 hours later I was making my last load down when a a box that had my cleaning supplies and work clothes in it fell apart. I thought I had gotten everything out of it but as of this morning my Movado watch that I got for Christmas that I had been wanting FOREVER is now missing. My only ray of hope is one last spot where I threw my clothes in a bag last night that is back at the house. My stomach is in my throat thinking I might have thrown this away with the box! Has anyone ever lost/ thrown something away completely not realizing it?!? I feel so dumb for not double triple checking but at that point I was just beyond over the entire evening! I am just sick right now

I am going to be BEYOND sad if I cant find this- maybe its just the timing of it all (see previous blog) where this is just NOT GOOD! Ohh well-

I'm working on being peppy- everyone keeps saying well look on the bright side your about to be on your honeymoon in Mexico where you can relax- yea yea yea but that just seems so stinkin far away! And now I'm watchless (*temporarily hopefully praying wishfully thinking dreaming she will reappear*)

Hopefully Today will go by quickly so I can sprint home and look for my watch- even considering running home during lunch!?! Is that horrible!

OK I'm ready to be out of my funk now and be happy- READY FOR MY LIFE BACK!!

Top Two Tuesday and a Prayer

Its Top Two Tuesday again over at The Undomesticated Momma! This one is definitely a challenge so I thought I woud try and incorporate it with what is on my heart for the day

1. Patience- In the upcoming months weeks leading up to the wedding I have noticed my patience with people and issues has gotten smaller and smaller. I understand that this wedding is mainly "mine" I have put my heart and soul and entire being into this wedding being perfect but its still hard for me to understand when others don't "care" as much as I do. My fiance is in Chiro school in St. Louis and therefore has not been here for, well basically any of this wedding stuff. That has been so hard on me not only emotionally not having him here but the concept that I feel like I am completely alone in all of this. If I am completely honest him and I have struggled through this because sometimes I think its just NOT FAIR. Why am I doing this alone but yet everyone is feeling sorry for him studying, being in St. Louis alone and driving back and forth?! No one thinks about me going to appointments by myself, figuring out how this all will get paid for by myself and making decisions on what "our" wedding should be. Not to mention me being the only income to provide everything for us. This is something I have GREATLY struggled with (greatly is an understatement). But as I was reading Amber's blog todayFabulous Young and Newlywed it got me thinking about how I have lost my true self in all of this wedding stuff. I have lost my first and foremost priority of God and instead replaced it with flower choices and the size of the bow on my cake. I need and MUST get back to to true meaning of life- My Savior, MY God. Not flowers, centerpieces and menu options. our relationship needs to be focused on God's grace in our marriage and what his plans are for us not the wedding or his school or our moving.

2. Understanding- This coinsides with the previous one. For any of you that are reading this, rather going through a wedding, work changes, moving or whatever it may be please look at my faults and experiences and learn. God should be our focus. It is still very hard for me that I cannot change everyone or everything. I cannot get my feelings hurt everytime I ask for something 5 times and its still not done. I have to relax and let others either pick up the slack or just say EVERYTHING cant always get done. I except so much from myself and therefore often times expect that much of others.

These both really aren't tips but maybe take aways- learn from your mistakes, be happy, make yourself happy and be happy with the Lord. He is an almighty God and he always answers.

**And sidenote: BIG weddings are SOOO not worth it! Go to the beach and get married! Don't put yourself through this :)

Hope this honestly helps someone else. This wedding will be beautiful and I will marry a wonderful man. The time between is just a lot at times. And I'm not good at hiding emotions. We all have so much to be thankful for. I am extremely blessed with a family only God could hand create- without them through this I would be compeltely lost.

Miscellaneous Monday- All things exciting and changing

Oh goodness... where to begin! I feel like I have so much going on that its like I have TOO much to share! However, I am happy to announce something very big that has been going on for a while now (NO not preggo) but...

Jeremy and I decided that for his final 3 years in Chiro school we would move to Atlanta, GA (well Marietta specifically) so he could finish school, we would get a house and start our newly married life together there. I had been actively job hunting for a while now- not because I was unhappy where I was but so that I could move to Marietta and live with Jeremy! God has answered our prayers and on Thursday I got a job offer from a wonderful company that is in Sandy Springs- just east of Marrieta! I am BEYOND excited to be able to move into our new house, have a job to support us and FINALLY live with my hubby to be! This is a blessing beyond words!

I will miss my current job but more importantly I will REALLY miss the people I work with!

In other exciting news Jeremy and I went today and got our marriage licensee!!

It sorta became surreal today! Now its no longer 3 weeks or 3 more months its NEXT WEEK! Everything is coming together and I truly have faith everything is going to come together perfectly! I do have some super cute pics of us getting our certificate but it has our full names and address on there and I might get in trouble with the MR for posting that stuff :)

On a completely different note I had the honor of being a bridesmaid in one of my dear friend's wedding this weekend! She was the most beautiful bride and it was such a blessing to see her so happy! She truly deserves the world!

Ahh what wonderful times! I am beyond blessed! YAY for Top Two Tuesday tomorrow! I'm off to bed! It's been a long day already- and ready for this week to go by quickly!

Thoughtless Thursday and a Thoughtful Thought about Driving

YAY it's thoughtless Thursday! One of my favorites- always short and sweet and doesn't require thinking! My favorite :)

1. I think I am getting Strep Throat again! NO FUN! I haven't had this since I was a little tyke but had it earlier this summer and now feelin it coming on AGAIN! Can't a girl catch a break?! Hopefully its just exhaustion but off to the doctor (Hopefully sweet talking my way into a steriod shot to get this body goin) I go as there is NO time to be sick 2 weeks out from a wedding, in a wedding tomorrow, moving Saturday (in the hottest of hottest of summer where its not supposed to be this freaking hot- we are in Tennessee not the desert) and wedding shower Sunday (shhhww) I'm tired just thinking about it!

Speaking of sleepy

I am exhausted! This 140 mile commute everyday is difficult- yes the driving and getting up early- BUT these dang people who somehow cannot manage to drive are driving me crazy (OK OK i admit my road rage is a little out of hand- especially when I'm singing my christian music in the morning interrupted by a $%%#* idiot driver) That's not good I know :) But then I go back to listening to my worship music and everything is all better! BUT SERIOUSLY- Nashville cannot drive! I do not understand why it is that difficult to drive down a straight 4 lane interstate every morning! It hasn't changed from when you drove on it yesterday- there are still other cars, there is still rush hour, there is still the "OH *%$^% all of traffic just slammed on their breaks but MAYBE if you fixed your hair and did your makeup and got dressed at home instead of in your car we wouldn't have these issues! And I'm sorry but WHO are you talking to at 6:30 in the morning?! I surely know I wouldn't want to talk to you. I dont want to talk to myself in the mornings more less chat it up on the cell phone that early! Does anyone understand "ALONE" time these days?!
If I became Governor of the GREAT state of Tennessee I would implement a law that all the slow idiot drivers of the state have their own interstate to wreck up everyday!

Thank you for that wonderful Public Service announcement! I feel much better! *PS I promise I am not an angry mean person, but this lack there of driving skills really erks me! I promise I am happy and sweet 95% of the time (when not driving or wedding planning- so right now 10% of the time)

Happy Thoughtless Thursday- mine might be up there with the pretty thoughtless of thoughtless for the day!

Wedding Wednesday- Stress?!

What stress?! Just 2 weeks out and overwhelmed as ever! I was looking back at old most from a month out and 2 months out- ahhh yes! The peaceful time! I guess I knew this was all going to happen I just knew I wasnt exactly ready QUITE yet! As the list sits today
*Finalizing Flowers/ Fianl Payment (Monday)
*Final payment/ details cake
*4th follow up with the hotel who wont send me my room block
*Catering details/ selection/ ordering/ payment
*Annoying the final 10 of those who have not RSVP (see previous post of why this is mind boggling to me)
*Thank you notes (they are endless!!)
*Big bridal shower in Savannah this weekend for Jeremy's hometown
*Getting together (and receiving) all my bridesmaid gifts
*Building centerpieces
*Getting photos together for gift table
*Bridal portait printed

Hmmm I know Im missing something!?!

This will be me on my wedding day if I don't quit with those dang Jimmy John's Subs! Grr they are good!

I WISH!

If these REALLY exist I need one!

You see my issue is that I take on EVERYTHING myself- i rarely deligate to others when its something super important that I want done Perfectly! And soo my wedding has kinda been one of those I want everything perfect things so here I am....

Many of you I'm sure are thinking, well just plan ahead- I DID(18 months worth of planning ahead). Get a wedding planner- I DO! Have great people around you to help out- I TRIED!

It al boils down to the type A bride- ya know, the do it all yourself, only deligate the little non important things, lay in your floor and cry when the earrings come in 1 shade off from what you want!

And its all for a measly 4 or 5 hours huh!?

At the end of the rainbow at least I'm going to have lots of awesome pics and stories to share for many many Wedding Wednesdays to come!

Oh and a relaxing 8 days here....

Happy Wednesday from Scatterbrain Bride-to-be!
