Titleless Thursday...

...only because I have a migraine from hell and I can't think of anything creative. I am sitting at my desk praying to God I don't pass out because the pressure in my head is ridiculous right now. I cannot focus or think and well can't go home. Short staffed= me staying at work.

Nothing creative from me today but I do have a request

This Blog has absolutely been breaking my heart. They just lost their 4 month old baby girl out of nowhere and their story is absolutely tearing me up. Every post I read I am crying and absolutely gut wrinching thinking about losing a child like that. If you get a chance please stop by to read her story and say a prayer for this family.

Happy Almost Friday!!

Top Two Tueasday...

Top 2 things youve learned from your parents or grandparents

I am loving this Top Two Tuesday this week. How blessed are we do have such amazing knowledge and influences in people like parents and grandparents. I am blessed with a great set of both!

1. My dad has always taught me, as odd it might sound, to have a sense of humor on life. Let me explain- I am one of those take it to heart kind of people. Anything said, especially from someone I care about, in a negative or bad way I take it really deep to heart. My dad is a great exaple, he will say a smart ass comment about something I've done or about hubs- in a completely joking way- and I take it as if he isn't happy with me or he is disappointed. I have found to be able to face life, in gerenal, with humility and not take everything so seriously can really prove more happiness in my life.

2. My grandparents have always taught and shown me through their means of living to live as frugally as possible. My grandparents spend nothing  besides the bare essentials in life. My grandfather is probably the cheapest person I know. But in a good way. I think from living through the depression and my grandfather in the war it has just shaped them to not live beyond or even to the fullest of their means. I truly think that is how we all should live and seeing through them their wisdom and knowledge excites me for everything I have to learn from them and for myself in this thing called life!

They have also taught me so much about love. The way my grandpa takes care of my grandmother is absolutely incredible. He does all the cooking, cleaning, shopping, banking, you name it he does it! He allows my grandma to worry about nothing and completely takes care and watches over her. That is true love. That is true dedication and the true meaning of the vows we all take- for better and for worse, in sickness and in health.

We are 6 months Along....

Haha Not that kind of along....(was I the only one that laughed)

Today, hubby and I have been married 6 whole whopping months! I can't believe my amazing wedding was already 6 months ago. I cannot believe that we giot engaged over 2 years ago.

Marriage has been extremely easy for us. We, like everyone else, have our small hiccups and rough days (mainly due to my high standards or hormone levels-depends on the day) but all in all despite it all this has been the best decision and easiest decision we have ever made. Marriage just comes fun to us. We like to watch the same thing on TV, generally have the same thoughts for a perfect weekend, have the same lifelong goals and most importantly we are truly BEST FRIENDS.

We all know I'm not one for the mushyness so I am done for now! I do however, LOVE our wedding pictures... Happy Monday!

I'm Just Sayin....

Mr. Police officer.... you pulled me over and gave me a ticket for speeding so now I am absolutely terrified to speed which is now going to cause me to get run over by the rest of the crazies in this city. Speeding is a way of life in Atlanta- we are all used to simply *sitting* on the interstate in traffic constantly so if we get the opportunity to drive over 35 on the interstate I really do think it should be perfectly allowed. I appreciate your concern for my safety and laws of the road but you are going to think safety when then next time you see me my SUV looks like roadkill on the side of the road by all the other drivers that were driving 74 right there along with me... Im just sayin!

Special time of the female month, you really really are getting to me these days. For one week I get off my wonderful God send of a thing called birth control to "let you do your thing" and what do you do instead... you make me moody, grumpy, bitchy, irritable, bloated, oily faced, pimpled up miserable hormonal crying person. I am about to take you out of the mix all together and say I'll see you in a few years. My husband only wants to live with me 3 weeks out of the year and currently he is scared for his life until Monday when happy hormones are allowed back in our house. Please try to go easy on me female unhappy time... I'm just sayin!

American society... why is it that you are all calling me right now asking questions about your 1099's and tax information. Have you people never done your taxes before? Do you not understand what these things mean? If you are 40 or if you are 70 you have clearly been doing this for a while. I only manage and see 1/20th of your total investments and money in life. So why do you feel the need to call and yell at me when I can't walk you through Turbo Tax regarding your home mortgage. Find a financial advisor, a tax accountant, someone who gets paid a lot more money than I do to handle those things!! I'm just sayin!

To lovely anonymous person currently in my life not my choice- you make being around the rest of my family miserable. You need to learn some manors. You need to learn its not appropriate to hang all over my sister in front of me or my 90 year old grandparents. You have the personality of a wall and you make me drink a lot more wine than necessary when I am home. I loved my family just the way it was and I am stubborn and I understand I am extremely protective of my family so if you could just go away and I could have my perfect family back that would be great!  Im just sayin...

Now I'm probably going to get myself in trouble for something on here... :) Happy Thursday! I'll be back monday from another fabulous weekend in Nashville! And hopefully posting about Valentines Day if I manage to upload the pictures :)

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Happy Hump Day! After a very bad Monday my week has been headed in the right direction. Tomorrow is my Friday and then I'm headed BACK to Nashville for good quality girl time then BACK to Atlanta Saturday evening for some good quality hubby date night!

Soo on to what I'm loving...

I am loving  the warm weather Atlanta is getting right now! It is just so refreshing and happy and amazing to not be shivering, rainy, cold and miserable! Bring it on Spring (atlanta 5 day forecast)

I am loving Ruche. They have the BEST dresses and such a reasonable price! I am eyeing quite a few for the many upcoming spring events! Here are some of my favorites: (all in the dresses section)

I'm loving  some good quality girl time this Friday at one of our favorites: Sips N Strokes.  It is the coolest little concept. They take you step by step painting and you bring your own wine to sip and its just the best time! Not to mention having some great girlfriends around! Here is what we are painting:

I'm loving all the good quality time I have been getting to spend in my home sweet home of Tennessee. I cannot even explain how I love being home. It just feeds my soul

*PS- how amazing is this sign?! I MUST have this

I am loving all the new fun houses I have been finding lately. If you didnt know I LOVE house searching! One day... :)

House #1- LOVE the stone fireplace and wood shutters! (sorry the picture is so small) Click and it gets bigger!

This is not my typical house I look for- but one look inside this guy and I was in LOVE. Hello Master bath

This guy is right up my ally with the big front porch, open concept floorplan and big staircase- as hubby says- so i have lots of railing to decorate with for Christmas!

As always... I'm loving  my amazing husband that never ceases to surprise me and make my life ohh so much easier! I would be forever lost without him. Thank you hubs for my constant reminder of God's amazing plan for our lives and His Grace for giving me you in my life.

WHEW- guess I'm loving a lot these days :) Hope you all have a fantastic Wednesday!

No so loving Valentines Day Start

Happy Monday and more importantly Valentines Day! I have such mixed feelings about Valentines Day because well its just such a Hallmark Holiday when everything is soo much more expensive and well I'd much rather have flowers on a radom Tuesday than when everyone else says you have to buy flowers. Am I the Valentines grinch!?

Speaking of Valentines grinch. Today has just been MY kinda day.  Everything I seem to do, touch, think to do goes wrong. Seriously. Ever have one of those days you just want to crawl in bed and just call it quits for the day? Or have a do-over kinda day!? Thats me today. I'll summarize this for you:

*Woke up early after a horrible night sleep for PT
*PT kicked my ass... to be perfectly honest
*driving to work with the rest of atlanta in the flow of traffic  and I only I get pulled over for my first speeding ticket. Its hard to be mean about it because the police officer was being super nice and polite and he is doing his job so not blaming him. But really?! Its valentines day!
*So that started off a crying morning
*I swear everything is going wrong in my day, I cant explain it but its just WRONG of a day and I just want to go crawl in bed
* I ran a million errands at lunch except I didnt get to EAT lunch and I have a small feeling I will be starving shortly.
*Now my shoulder is throbbing and I am grumpy. And there is still a long days worth of work ahead of me. Not to mention its tax season and the whole world acts like they have never done taxes before! HELLO!
*I think I made the big guy in the sky mad at me for something. it just NOT my day

Soo for all you fun happy loving romantic people out there today.... I really am truly happy for you and wishing I was you today but as for me... Its just NOT my day and Im officially over it!

Wednesday's Thought(s) of the Day

Happy Hump Day!! Or in my case its My Friday! I could easily get used to the 3 day work week concept!! I am headed home sweet home tonight and I could not be more excited. Well except that there is a pending snow storm headed this way which might make this a tricky drive but anything to get me to good ole Tennessee is worth it!
I havent seen my daddy since January- this is a long time in Jessica/daddy world. I get to see my mom who I havent seen since our wedding in August. I get to see friends I havent seen in months and on saturday hubby is coming down and we are headed to Jackson, TN to see my sweet Lauren and her hubbys new house and celebrate Valentines day! Fun couple days ahead of me and I cannot wait!

Anywho, so on to my thoughts of the day:

{one} I sorta maybe kinda read some of the spoiler alerts for the bachelor today :) ooppss! Curiosity killed the cat I guess you could say! I cant help it! And besides they arent always right! :)

{two} Do you ever feel like something is just missing in your daily life?! I kinda feel like that now. I have an amazing husband and fortunate to have a job and a house and a nice car and a wonderful family so dont get me wrong. But I just have this looking for more feeling in me. I really  wish I could wake up every morning knowing I was going to help someone's life, or make a difference, or do something actually related to what I went to college for, or NOT have to fight a 2 hour commute that puts me in a bad mood. I just want more  and I don't know how to get there.

{three}  Anyone have any grand ideas on how to lose weight without working out? Not becasue im lazy but with the shoulder it kinda makes working out a bit difficult. But Im feeling like serious TUBO  right about now and its not fun!

{four}  Do yall get your husbands/ boyfriends gifts for valentines day? Usually hubs and I will do dinner, maybe I get some flowers and something but its not usually a huge ordeal. However, I've discovered this year that maybe I'm supposed to be getting him something big and presenty or something. Thoughts needed- and yes hubby I know you read this! Don't get too excited!

Pretty thoughtful Wednesday huh?! I will be MIA until monday! Excited for a bit of a break from it all! I hope you all have a fantabulous week/ weekend!

And for the finale: I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU  for helping me get to 100 followers! What a blessing! It is the coolest thing to have met actual friends through blogging that I email, text, facebook, twitter with on a regular basis! This has been a fun journey for me and I never meant for it to be anything big- and by no means is that my goal but its fun to know people care and are interested every now and then! This is such an outlet for me to be creative and fun and speak my mind for whoever might want to listen. So again, Thank you!! This blog and all of you mean so much to me!

Over the River and Through.... Atlanta

This was my Tuesday morning commute. If any of you follow me on Twitter you would read my frequent comments regarding traffic in this crazzy city. Well today it was just at a whole other madness level. I had physical therapy this morning so I was up early getting ready and watching the news when the Breaking Traffic Alert comes on saying that 285-Eastbound was SHUT DOWN. Not heavy traffic or one lane blocked but dunzo, nada, zippo traffic moving. And to top it all off the portion where it was closed where exactly where I needed to be going for PT. Normally if I was just going to work I could have re-routed. So handy dandy new GPS and I wound our way around Greater Atlanta (seriously) to get to PT and then again to get to work. What is normally a 24 mile commute was more like 40+ miles today. All because a teenager in the middle of the night decided to go the wrong way down the interstate and of all things runs into a butter truck! Hello explosive!

When you live in this crazy city and traffic is already a nightmare this just makes a good morning go south real quick. However I must say I am super proud of myself for 1. not getting lost 2. not calling my husband crazy freaking out and 3. Figuring out how in the hell to avoid that cluster of a mess without saying 5+ curse words.

A mimosa would have been nice(maybe 2)
I dont think work would have appreciated that
but I seem to be the only one who lives a million miles away from the office....
Maybe I have some things to think about regarding that situation (thats a whole other post)

Happy Tuesday!

PS Bachelor last night anyone?!?! Michelle is C-R-A-Z-Y! At least she got the last rose!
