Back from the Blog Break

Well heeelloooo blog world! Hope you all have had a wonderful holiday season. I don't know about you but ours has been a huge whirlwind. It seems like the minute Thanksgiving is over we are all running around crazy decorating the house, buying presents, fighting traffic, wrapping presents, buying more presents, oh yea that little thing called work and then the traveling trying to see ALL the family within a 3 day span... whew I hate to admit it but as much as I love the holidays and spectacle of it all I am kinda sorta maybe glad when its over and life and my house for that matter can get back to normal!

Anywho- hopefully I will be getting back in the swing of things in the blog world. I guess when you LOSE a follower its time to pep back up into shape huh?! Surprisingly I do have a few Christmas pictures to share:

I hope you all had a very blessed and enjoyable Christmas! There is tons going on in this gals life but oddly not much to blog about! Love all your sweet blogs and amazing comments. They mean so very much to me! It has been fun, exciting and overwhelming to see what 2010 has brought and I cant wait to see what 2011 has to show for. Pictures in review of the year to come.

That little thing called life

Wow- feels like forever since I have been on here. Well I guess it has when you normally post at least once a day. Things in my life have been crazy lately. First of all whose life ISN'T crazy during the holiday season?! It's constant shopping wrapping sitting in traffic checking the bank account and repeat. I love the holly not so always jolly season but goodness January peacefulness can be a warm welcoming as well.

Soo then... on top of this craziness.... I decide to fall! YES bust my tail kinda FALL! I was in the parking lot heading out for lunch just bopping along texting not paying attention and WAM! Guess who falls flat on their front?! YEP THATS ME! Beyond being super embarrassed I was in pain. I kinda thought to myself "Self, of course your in pain, no big deal it will get bettr" Then I felt like my shoulder wasn't exactly hanging right... It just felt slumpy. So I fight through it until I wise up and realize something is wrong, go to the orthopedic doctor who tells me good news is I didn't break anything, bad news is I probably tore my Pectoralis (peck) muscle that runs in the front of my shoulder and under my arm. You want to talk about pain- this is PAIN! 4 weeks in a sling- no movement, hurts like utter HELL and I'm miserable. GREAT! HAPPY JOLLY HOLLY HOLIDAYS to me. Soo this is partial to why I'm in pain and not blogging much. Glad you understand.

Now on to something that truly matters. So at work everyday we send out prayer request for things going on with people in the company. One guy sent one regarding a homeless man that he has been working with in the area. My heart immediately attaches and all I want to know is how I can help. Obvious immediate needs come into play first but here is where I have struggled... you know how they say how do you get someone who has everything something? Well how do you even begin to get someone something who has NOTHING. I know that sounds weird but it's true. They don't have a microwave to warm food, or a can opener to open the food. Its endless. And my heart just breaks- because I want to give him everything. Every person deserves a Christmas tree and a warm shower. Prisoners who molest children get a hot shower why should this man who lost everything and served in our military get nothing? So it has really hit my heart. I thought I would reach out to people in my department to help- I work with a great group. I got 3- yes 3 responses. That really has hurt me because every single one of us is so blessed beyond measure yet only THREE people can manage a few dollars to help a man than sleeps in the woods in 20 degree weather?! I finally broke down tonight- hence the blog. I'm sorry this isnt fuzzy and warm and Christmas cheer but its my outlet and my source of thinking through this. I want to help this man, I want to help the world. But I have to provide for my own house and my own husband as well. Why God has blessed me I will ever know, why me over the next person I have no idea. But I truly feel that I was put on this earth to give back. And one step at a time I will.

Hope you are all doing well!! I still read all the blogs. Just a bit hard to type! :)

Quite Note

So Sorry I have been MIA lately- with all the holidays and being out of town pretty much the past 2 weeks consistantly I am now just running around with my head chopped off. Working long hours trying to get caught up and by the time I get home there is a million more things to get done! Thankfully this weekend we are in town and can chill! I promise to get back on the blogging bandwagon- I miss posting and reading everyone's fun holiday stuff! Just a stressful end of the year for us- tomorrow I have a doctors appointment- I think I have hurt myself pretty bad. We will see- I'm in a lot of pain and typing is almost unbearable- not good in my kinda job!
I need to be put in a bubble and locked away :) Hope you all are having a fantastic week! MUCH LOVE

The Ritz The Ritz, oh the possibilities at the Ritz

OK so now to dote on the ever so amazing trip we had to Amelia Island and stayed at the Ritz Carlton. I wish I could even begin to explain how amazing this place was. Everything was perfect and just incredibly nice. It's one of those places you really don't even know how to act nice! We'll start with a few pics (I didnt take too many)

 Our balcony view

OK so every frame in the entire hotel was decorated....gorgeous

This was a gingerbread ship-it was all real!
Me and and the hubba hubba

 A view of the Ritz
We got bikes from the Ritz and rode around Amelia- absolutely amazing
This house just melted my heart- I WANT it

Bike ride down to the beach
We went with some friends from the office- Anna and her husband Patrick
Sunset at the beach was just incredible

Everything was just over the top amazing

BAD picture of me but outside the Ritz on our last night
2 girls I work with at the office! They have been soo sweet and welcoming to me

Sooo to sum it all up- pretty spectacular amazing. And it was all paid for for our CEO/ head of the company. He is just soo generous and wonderful and it makes the bad days better knowing you have a boss that really cares about you. I did gain at least 10 pounds so the detox begins :)

Day 11- New Years Resolutions

OK soo yes I'm skipping day 10 for now until I can spend a lot more time on finding all my songs! New Years Resolutions are welll.... humph one of those things. Does anyone REALLY hold on to their resolutions ALL year long. I mean yes gym memberships always go up in January and the organic healthy food section of the grocery store sales shoot up but how long does it all last?! I would say my New Years Resolution is the same as my everyday resolution- to be the very best I can be. To live out my short life on this earth in preparation for the Kingdom of Heaven. To glorify God and praise his name. To be more understanding, patient, loving, kind hearted, a good wife, daughter, friend co-worker and all around good person. I fail often but I do try- that's all we can hope for. But most importantly to give thanks and make my Almighty God proud!

Day 12- Show us your decorations

(the bow is upright and straight now I promise)

Here is the start of our Christmas Decorations! Pictures of Christmas lights is super hard to take! We still have YET to be home and complete all I want to get done when it comes to decor so more to come! Stay tuned..... LOTS to be done!
