ITS FRIDAY- Bachelorette TIME

It's FINALLY HERE!! It's my Bachelorette night in Nashville and I am so stinkin excited! so excited that it has been extremely  difficult focusing today! It doesn't help that my phone has been lighting up all morning and all the girls at work are talking about tonight! Yea maybe I shoudl retitle this blog Unproductive Friday

One of my bridesmaids works at THE Hermitage Hotel in Nashville andgot us some awesome rooms! I mean HELLO 5 star hotel on bachelorette night!

And we will be in the WONDERFUL amazing City of Nashville that is always sure to please

Thoughtless Thursday- House Decor on my Mind

Happy Thoughtless Thursday!

Currently I am hunting for a Bistro table for our kitchen. We have the big table in the dining room but I want something small and cute (and inexpensive) for the kitchen!

Thoughts:

NEXT on the agenda is curtains! I want full fluffy warm curtains for my sitting and living room! I have struggling in this department because i cant find exactly what I want! No pictures here because I have NO idea what I'm looking for yet! Update to come!

My outside area is amazing at the house! I got a lovely one of these for the deck so now i'm on a mission to complete the "outdoor living area"

This would be my dream area... (one day)

or even....

But for now I will stick with watching the Better Homes and Gardens Patio Line at Walmart go to clearance

Wedding Wednesday- dum dum dum 3 weeks

Wedding Wednesday

 

Ahh yes, here we are again at Wedding Wednesday… this week is going to be short and sweet because my life is spinning with wedding therefore if I talk about we are just going to make it worse- and 3 weeks out we don’t need that do we. But if i must- few points of the day:)

I have been an ordering fool for wedding things- favors, bridesmaid gifts, last minute stuff! This equals I feel productive checking off the to-do list, debit card balance not so much! I REALLY need the money tree to come find me right about now!

My bachelorette party is this Friday downtown Nashville . If you live here- you are forewarned. There are going to be 15 girls on a mission! Wahoooo! (ok but seriously I have no clue the last time I have been “clubbing” out) This may or may not be a good thing- you will be updated Monday

I have learned my patience and tolerance for things/ issues/ PEOPLE is not always exactly what it needs to be. I am going to blame this on stress and wedding and everyone not cooperating. I do wish I could rant a little more however that just wouldn’t be the southern girl polite thing to do now would it!

I am officially ready to have my life back, boxes unpacked and comfortable (see previous blog)

 

 

This feels a lot more like Thoughtless Thursday huh?! Downhill from here :)

 

HAPPY HUMP DAY!!!

Miscellaneous Monday

One: How is it possibly Monday already? UUGGHH my weekends just fly by! Speaking of weekend…. I had a wonderful one! Friday was full of moving, packing, unpacking, REPEAT…. Oh and did I mention this was in the 100+ degree heat! Why do moving days always seem to fall on the hottest sunniest most miserable days of the year? WHY!?! But it was so exciting to see just a hint of light at the end of the tunnel and stuff in the new place! I am an OVER perfectionist and want everything done and perfect right away and well when you are moving it somehow just doesn’t work like that. HOWEVER if anyone knows of the magic curtain hanging, picture placement, decorations placed, furniture arranged, landscaping perfect, cleaning fairy PLEASE let me know! There will be a reward waiting for you!

Two: LET THE WEDDINGS BEGIN! Jeremy and I have 3 weddings in 4 weeks, 5 by the end of the year and 3 already for the spring of next year! Our 1st one was this past weekend- it was a renewal of one of my very good friends from college. They originally did a very small wedding before he went to Iraq so they had their big fun wedding this weekend! It was HOTT but so pretty and sweet and just Fun… they didn’t have all the stuffy weddingy stuff you have to do and everyone just danced talked and for a few short hours reverted back to our college days

Three: Sunday was a relaxing day! Spent a few hours on the boat but again, it was so dang flipping hott we didn’t stay long. I have decided that the southern summer is getting all its hotness out of the way now so that on August 21st its going to be approx. 75 degrees, slight breeze, partly to mostly cloudy (this makes for better pictures) and perfect! Wish me luck…..

WHY do people take so long to send in their RSVP’s? I’m just wondering! I sent my invitations out July 6th people! You have had 3 weeks! I even gave you the stamp! All you have to do is write your name in it do a little licky licky (envelope- DUH) and MAIL! This is not difficult! Just you wait till it’s your turn and your sitting around waiting on MY RSVP- actually no, I would never do this to you. I am nice and respectful and thoughtful and will mail right away! BUT SERIOUSLY! (thank you I feel much better now)

Thoughtless Thursday- Just Thoughtless

It's Thoughtless Thursday!! YAY! Maybe my most favorite blog day- besides Wedding Wednesday at the moment because i just google my random thoughts, blog it down and WAHHLLAA BLOG Complete!

I have a small obsession with Route 44 drinks from Sonic! There is something about the ice and the drink that just gets me everytime! I usually get their unsweet tea because they seam to be the ONLY place in the whole freaking south that knows how to make unsweet tea without it somehow having somesort of sweet in it! YES i understand I live in the great state of Tennessee and I am population 1 who drinks unsweet tea but how hard is it to make unsweet tea and not look at me like I am crazy when I ask for it.... ok done jumbling rambling but HENCE- I LOVE SONIC! THANK YOU SONIC for getting my unsweet tea fix complete and not starting my morning off badly

2. THANK you blogger for cooperating and not being a pain in blogworld when i am trying to post pictures. It has been awfully nice of you to understand that everytime I want to insert a picture I don't want you to pull it out of *(^$^%^ on where to put it. You have eliminated at least 20 curse words from my vocabulary daily.

Thats all for now.... Dance lessons tonight with daddy! Really starting to enjoy these!! You might see me on Dancing with the Stars next season! WHO knows...

Wedding Wednesday= ONE MONTH

Oh how perfectly today falls for wedding Wednesday…. EXACTLY 1 long month from today I will be excited, crying, freaking out, overwhelmed, nervous, not eating, needing a few drinks getting married.

I absolutely cannot believe we are finally at this point! Jeremy and I got engaged LAST February and its been a long crazy journey since then! I can't tell you how many of my friends have dated, gotten engaged, gotten married, built a house, went on a honeymoon and hhhuummpppphhh I'm still waiting!

Although, yes I am excited about the wedding day and the experience I just am soo ready to be married, to be done with the planning and the stresses, the long distance relationship, seeing each other 4 days a months and having these prescious little babies back

I have missed our "girls" so stinkin much I can't hardly stand it sometimes!

Ahhh....  I CAN'T wait!

Speaking of....

I REALLY need to try on my wedding dress! I just have this horribly scared feeling I will need to lose like 10 pounds for the dang thing to zip... hmmm

I'm not sure what it is but ever sense the 1/2 marathon my body has just had limited desire to work out! I think it's because I killed myself training for that thing!

SURPRISE! HELLO St. Louis

Monday is almost over! WAHHOO! Last week and the beginning of this week has been very stressful at work. Its bitter sweet being so busy and crazy and ALWAYS something can be very trying at times but knowing I can/am handling it all is also very empowering and pretty cool- to state it simplistically! Sometimes you surprise yourself with what you can handle!

OK soo anywho back to this AWESOME weekend that I CANT WAIT TO SHARE! I was dying all last week that I couldn't blog about my BIG surprise to St. Louis to see Jerm but the Mister reads this blog and I couldn't blow my surprise!

Soo last Monday I was just feeling sad and lonely because I hadn't seen Jerm in 2 weeks. He constantly asks me to come to St. Louis but I haven't been able to with wedding planning and events. And I just felt so bad because he has always been soo wanting me to come up and I always have SOMETHING going on with the wedding but I know how much it meant to him! Soo WHAT do I do?? I rearrange the schedule, spend WAYYYYYYYYYY too much money on a flight and surprise Jeremy!

So I dont have any pictures of me surprising Jeremy! But needless to say he was shocked so excited! He just stared at me forever at first. I think he was confused! We hung out Friday night with his friends then went home and CRASHED! Long day for both of us! Saturday we got up and went to the pool most of the day after we decided it was WAY to hott for the Cards afternoon game! Saturday evening we decided to head downtown to see the Arch... now the pictures REALLY get good *ok I think so at least*

After the arch we went and had dinner together and just TALKED! We haven't had just "us" time in months yes literally MONTHS! It was so nice to remember WHY I love him so much and why in a month and 2 days he will be mine all mine! So ANYWHO... on with the trip! Sunday it was storming so we did a lazy Sunday morning and watched a movie. Then one of his friends called with amazing tickets to the Cards game! OF COURSE we hopped right on that one.... This was the most amazing and wonderful weekend I have had in a LONG time! I loved just having US time! Ahh 1 month and 2 days!

Wedding Wednesday- :LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN

Ahh yes as we are vastly OMG I can’t believe how close we are and how much I have to do i'm probably going to have a heart attack approaching the wedding I’m sure my Wedding Wednesday’s will be full of a conversation that would go something like this:

ME: My wedding workbook check list sure is growing

Blog world: This girl has a wedding excel workbook? Yea I think she is losing it, or just crazy, or maybe both…

Me: I hope they tie my sashes pretty- I do not want a funky looking bow or I will NOT be happy with SOMEONE

Blog World: They are sashes- people will sit in the chairs and the sashes will be messed up before you can say 4 tier wedding cake in Aug….

Me: 4 tier fondant wedding cake in August- LORD HELP ME/ what the heck was I thinking getting married in August

Blog World: WHO gets married in August, in the south, in the state of Tennessee with the most humidity ever!?

Me: I am SO beyond ready excited jumping up and down on my bed for August 21st to be here AND BE DONE

Blog World: Us too, we are tired of hearing about this dang wedding!

OK Now that i got that out of my system I do have some excitingness about the wedding. Tonight my daddy and I are starting our dance lessons for our first dance. There are many reasons for this

1. My daddy does not dance, does not like to dance, does not like to dance in front of 200 people (hence lessons)

2. Butterfly Kisses has been our song since I was a little girl and he gave me the book. Yes, this is sweet however for any of you that have heard this song its a tear jerker.

3. And let me elaborate on tear jerker- my daddy and I are extremely close. He is my best friend. And I can't hardly tell him I love him and give him a hug without tearing up more less dancing to "our song" for 4 minutes, at my wedding, in my wedding dress and him in a tux with everyone I have ever met in my whole life that pretty much is attending this wedding GRRRRRR watching us!

4. Hence DANCE Lessons!

I really think it will help us desensatize the emotion out of all this and we can just enjoy ourselves! Oh and if you have never heard the song before- You need to go listen

Top Two Tueaday Recipe Style.... YUMMMM

TOP TWO TUESDAY!

Top Two Tuesday is always one of my favorites because I already know my topic for every Tuesday and I always stumble upon new and fun other Top Two Tuesday blogs that I get hooked onto! I have 2 Top Two Tuesday today! One is just a repost of the Undomesticated Momma post! I was feeling extra hungry today and thought I would do some recipes and she just so happened to have 2 I just love so I am posting hers and then 2 of my own! These just look DELISH and not too bad for ya either which helps those of us who are 5 weeks and 4 days from fitting into that wonderfully amazingly hopefully fitting wedding dress!

Top 2 Favorite Summer Recipes!

1. Cliantro Lime Corn Salsa

4 ears very fresh corn

2 vine-ripened tomatoes

1 small red onion, diced

2 jalapeno chiles, minced (save some of the seeds)

2 limes, juice of

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Chipotle seasoning to taste

2. Caprese Salad

1 large tomato sliced in 8 slices

8 oz fresh mozzarella into 8 slices

5-6 basil leaves sliced

2 tsp olive oil

1 tsp balsamic vinegar

salt and fresh peper to taste

top mozzarella slices with tomatos, olive oil, balsamic, basil, salt and paper

This is also only 100 calories per serving!

I Love that both of these require no cooking, baking or weird ingredients and make a wonderfully healthy low calorie meal (did I mention I have a wedding dress to fit into)

Ok so the Mister and I have decided that when we get married we each have a cooking night where one of us makes a meal and uses new recipes and something different that we haven’t tried before! I thought this was cute because it certainly cuts down on the eating out and porking up but also is a nice way to just spend time together in and try new foods! So here are some recipes I’m wanting to try ohh so badly!

Curried Chicken Salad

2 cooked chicken breasts, boned

6 ounces green beans

12 ounces multi-colored penne

2/3 cup low-fat yogurt

1 teaspoon mild curry powder

1 garlic clove, crushed

1 green chili, seeded and finely chopped

2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

4 firm ripe tomatoes, peeled, seeded and cut into strips

Salt/ ground black pepper

fresh cilantro leaves, to garnish

Directions:

1. Remove the skin from the chicken and cut in strips. Cut the green beans in 1-inch lengths and cook in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.

2. Cook the pasta in a large pan of boiling, salted water until all dente. Drain and rinse thoroughly.

3. To make the sauce, mix the yogurt, curry powder, garlic, chilli and chopped cilantro together in a bowl. Stir in the chicken pieces and let stand for 30 minutes.

4. Transfer the pasta to a glass bowl and toss with the beans and tomatoes. Spoon over the chicken and sauce. Garnish with cilantro leaves.

WALAA! I LOVE chicken salad in the summer! It just hits the spot for me!!

Miscellaneous Monday Madness

One: It is Monday and although I did have a FABULOUS weekend full of wedding showers I am now completely exhausted and needing a day off to just get myself back in order from this weekend. Which brings me to my next point: I fully believe that we should have the weekends for doing all the fun things we don’t get to do on the weekend- there is always just SOO much to do on the weekend and trying to cram everything in and then go back to work on Monday just doesn’t work very well. So I think we should have Saturday and Sunday’s for play and Monday as get your life back together day (i.e. cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, paying bills, running errands, etc! Plus Mondays and work just don’t go together very well

Two: I am trying to find cute inexpensive personalized thank you notes on the internet and not having a ton of luck! Or maybe I am but there are just a million of them and all these sites think VERY highly of their thank you notes! So if anyone has any ideas on thank you notes that are cute inexpensive and I can get quickly PLEASE let me know! I would love to get some ordered today!

 

Three: I completely totally utterly am ready to be in our new house. I am an extreme control neat freak so boxes everywhere, clothes everywhere, no decorations up and living in-between a 70 mile radius is driving me NUTS! I am an organizer and perfectionist in my home and I’m ready for our own space and decorated and organized to perfection. Pictures to follow in the upcoming month or so!

Four: I am really not happy about the fact that ABC online episode watching has not been working this week because now I am a week behind on the Bachelorette and so I’m going to be completely lost in tonight’s episode and I hate watching out of order and you see…this goes back to number three- I like things in ORDER!

 

Five: I would be absolutely LOST without Sonic Route 44 drinks.

Six: When will blogger let us have cuter fonts and options? I'm tired of the most boring 6 fonts ever....

It's just that time of Year

Well hello there bloggers! Man it feels like FOREVER since I have been on here and I MISS it! I have been making my rounds trying to catch up on everyone! My life has been EXTREMLY hectic let me know tell you! And this weekend was such a whirlwind and crazines to say the least!

Friday my mom flew in from Ohio! We went STRAIGHT to Hendersonville where I met with the wonderful Becky from Spangler Entertainment

And it felt soo real going through the ceremony and deciding the musicians playlist to listening to Canon D and the Bridal march to the reception dinner music, party music, cake music, boquet toss music..... I could go on and on! It was just so amazing that we are FINALLY at this point of deciding on the BIG fun things! AHHHHHH

5 weeks and 6 Days!!!

I am BEYOND excited for it to finally be here- to have all the stress behind us and to have our lives back to normal, live in the same state, have our girls back (dogs* for clarification) and just finally pick up where we left off a year ago!

OK So back to the post.... Saturday my MOH threw me a bridal shower! It was just so wonderful and cute and pretty and perfect! I was surrounded my all my wonderful close friends and my Mom, step mom, MIL, Aunt in law (?? is that the proper way to say that) Grandma in law and ahhh I just can't say enough! It will be its own post in itself once I get all the pictures from it!

I am one blessed girl!

AHH I feel that I soo need to catch everyone up to speed on my life but it would be one cluster of a post! More to come I promise! I've been a bad bad blogger I know!
