My Husband...

Happy Monday!! I soo hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It was 70 and sunny here in Atlanta and I can say by far we had the most amazing weekend. No plans no agenda, just my husband and I having soo much fun and enjoying our 2 days of freedom. Sooo onto the title of this post. Let me go back a little bit... do any of you just have those moments randomly when you step back from life and just reflect on your situation, your life and everything in it?! Mine came Saturday afternoon as hubs and I were driving home from errands with the sunroof open and music on... we were stopped at a red light when we hear sirens and maybe 50 yards away see this older man standing out by the road... he was waiting for the ambulance and fire truck to arrive. Jerm and I started thinking and talking about that situation... did his wife fall, did she have a heart attack, what was he thinking, was he ok, was SHE ok. It really hit us both and I think we both said a silent prayer. That poor man... you just wanted to go give him a hug and hope everything was ok.

It got me thinking about MY husband. There is no one in this world that makes me mad like he does. There is no one that can get under my skin and just GET to me like he can. But there is NO ONE that God could have created in this world to be more perfect and amazing than my husband is. I see on Twitter and on Facebook of wives that post about randomly coming home to a clean house or a cooked dinner- that is my husband daily. He is constantly DOING for me and providing for me regardless of how tired he is or how long of a day he has had. He constantly thanks me for providing for us while he is in school and he constantly reminds me of the pay off in the end. As much as I miss Nashville and I miss my friends and my family and my old job and well EVERYTHING about being home he reminds me this is God's plan not ours, this is God's way of strengthening our marriage and our commitment and well... I couldn't ask for anything more.

So my reflection this weekend, my step back from reality...I am one incredibly lucky lucky wife. God has provided beyond messure... and although it may not be how and where I want it to be... my husband makes it completely worth getting up everyday and making this journey just one more time. So, old man standing at the road waiting for the amubance for whatever reason might be going on in your life... thank you. Thank you for helping my life and for helping me to acknowledge another one of God's amazing blessings in my life.

I hope you can reflect...step back even for just a few minutes to see your blessings in life. It can be hard to find at times, but if we all look close enough... my GOD how blessed we are!

From beginning till now...

Happy Monday!

What I'm loving Wednesday

I must say I did wake up this morning in a not good mood because I woke up and realized- It's ONLY Wednesday. Shouldn't it be at least Friday afternoon by now. Followed by another miserable almost 2 hour commute into the office and well.. That was the start to my Wednesday. On a more positive note the light bulb has officially gone off... I Need MUST  lose weight. Like seriously. I've kinda known this for a while- well since the wedding when I have done NOTHING. But today just was that day I said OK DONEZO FATSO time to get your act together! Soo onto what Im loving:

I'm loving this new website to help me watch my calories and monitor my progress Spark people It's a super easy way to monitor what your eating and what you need to do to get down to your target goal. My goal is May 1 to lose 20 pounds. Yes this seems like a lot. But I just feel that I would be more comfortable around this. More to come

I'm loving warm weather expected to hit Atlanta this weekend. Now when I say warm I mean sunny and ALMOST 60 but after the winter we have had I'll take it

I'm loving my new excitement to get skinny and fit. It's almost overwhelmingly exciting to think about being in shape and skinny. Granted my exercise will be difficult since I'm a shoulder down and a lot of workouts really wont work for me right now so time to focus on MY eating habits and not eating like MY HUSBAND's eating habits

I'm loving that spring is right around the corner and all the exciting events I have upcoming with friends back home. I'm sure you all get the message often that I get/am pretty homesick. I miss the random dinner and wine dates with the girls.

I'm loving upcoming craft night with the girls to make a spring wreath... nothing like a good  craft day to brighten the spirits!

As always I'm Loving the hubby and all the hard work he does for me and for us and for the house. Such a wonderful blessing

Bachelor Recap

Sooo last night of the Bachelor was again one of those I found myself staring at the TV in shock one moment and laughing at the craziness of these girls the next. First things first-

If it rains on your wedding day it is good luck, if it rains on your first date on The Bachelor not so much. Goodness.

Secondly- umm could Michelle be MORE CRAZY. First of all she had a mysterious black eye, she wants to punch every other girl that even looks at Brad (can someone remind her she is on a TV show) and well she is just all around psycho. And WORST of all Brad likes her. Are you kidding me!

Next: Ashley H.- I really liked you in the beginning however last night you were on the verge of "that girl" please chill, Brad likes you, your cute (my husband thinks so too) and your fine. You, as well, are on a TV show and you knew what you were getting into. He WILL be kissing other girls

Oh my goodness Emily I am officially in love with you. She is sooo beautiful, has the best personality and is soo sweet and down to earth and not crazy like these other girls. I was flipping out when Brad did the little picnic for her last night. Like HELLO!! I am soo anxious for next week at the group date at the race track. I soo want her to win. She is adorable!

What were your thoughts?! Anyone else REALLY into this Bachelor?! I really like it so far :)

Tis Tuesday...

Happy Tuesday!! If its anything like Atlanta today its cold, rainy, gloomy, why didn't I just stay in bed kinda day. My sweatpants would be mighty nice instead of tights a skirt and heels!

Scatter post of the day: I found this link over at Natasha's Blog that seemed super cute. Its a what is your House Style... mine came up as Seaside Informal:
It goes something like this:
Graceful living in a well appointed home. To cook a grand meal in an elegant kitchen is your joy. A bedroom with distinct character - warm and charming. Blown away by the handcrafted nature of art. Enjoying elegant outdoor fare. The glass of red - a highly recommended habit. On cobbled streets, character abounds. Casual and relaxed… never insisting on formality.
And looks like this:

Whats your style? Take the quiz and let me know!!

Next things next: I am hosting a craft day at my house in February for some girls at work and well the spring crafts aren't quite out yet. Im thinking a spring wreath or something fun and bright. Soo...I need ideas. Here is a moss wreath I am thinking right now- ok minus the christmasness, excessive flowers etc- just a start and quite across the board

LOVE the square shape and the bright green here

Minus all the big flowers and suches

LOVE this wreath- maybe change the colors to take out the Christmas efffect

Obsessed with the big satin bow here :)

What are your spring crafts? I am desperate for inspiration!

Hope you all had a fabulous Monday. Between the shoulder Dr appointment and craziness of Monday's at work add in the one hand typing exhaustion and that equals my yesterday!

Five Question Friday

Soo I just found this adorable site...what have I been missing!! SUPER CUTE SUPER FUNNY Go check it out!

Anywho... soo to play along just answer the questions and link up... easy squeezy!

1. Where did you meet your spouse and did you instantly know it was love?

2. What is your favorite room in your house?

3. Can you wiggle your ears?
4. What is your evening ritual?

5. How many hours of sleep do you need to function?

And now for my super funny, witty, awesome answers...kidding!

1. Hubby and I met the very beginning of my Freshman year in college. I think it was instant crush/ I think your cute but not love. I was in a relationship from high school and was just young and wanted to do the fun Sorority thing. Hubs needed to get his "boyness" (we'll leave it at that) out of him. We were always pretty good friends, went to church together and he tried hung out with some of the same friends throughout college. We didn't start actually start dating till the summer before my senior year in college. I was single and the LAST thing I wanted or was looking for... welp here we are 5 months (today) into our marriage- THE END

*yes I am mildly still obsessed with our wedding pictures*

2.Favorite room in our house: I have two. Summer, fall and spring its by FAR our ouside deck. Nothing like some wine music tiki torches and great talks with the hubby!

The other favorite is my sitting room: just peaceful w/ the big window and comfy couch. Kinda just "my" space in the house

3.Wiggle ears: NADA. FAIL... I didnt know people COULD wiggle their ears. I also didnt know how to fix the time on my watch until a few weeks ago..uugghhh! Did i just Tattle on myself??

4. Evening Ritual:
Sit in stupid Atlanta traffic for forever
Rush in and change clothes- Numero uno is get out of dress clothes and into sweats
Say hello to husband
Glass on wine usually-depending on my day
Come up with dinner for the evening
Watch the news, catch up on blogs, relax
Lay in the floor and plaay with the furbabies
Yea thats pretty much it til bedtime!
SUPER exciting!

5. SLEEP: Yea umm I require a lot of sleep. I can function with 6 1/2- 7 keyword frunction. Needed is at least 8-9. 10 is amazing. Yes, I need my sleep!

The end!! Let me know if you play along! I would love to see your answers!

Fun Fridays- Married Style

Fun Fridays

Happy Friday everyone! Praise the good Lord this week is oh-ver! It was a short week with the holiday for me but it was still just L-O-N-G and draining. Shoulder issues dont help either!

Soo uhh humm.... I bring to you our Fabulous Weekend Plans:

NOTHING! Yes nothing, besides some sleeping in, the typical Deep clean Saturday morning when my husband wants to kill me and my OCD mode I get in which I just LOVE having a smelly shiny clean house! Especially when I can open the windows and enjoy the fresh air...mmmmmm! Perfection! Its also the end of the month which means NEW Magazines come in the mail!! Anyone else get SUPER excited about that besides me? Curling up in our sitting room with a candle burning divuldging into February Southern Living?! Yes Please!

Other than that I got nada. Maybe convince hubs to take me out to dinner hint hint! Who knows!

What are your weekend plans? Anyone else as boring as me?
