The things you can do on a Lunch Break

Soo.. with my work schedule and commute I virtually have zero time to run errands during the week except for the little measly hour I have from 2:00-3:00 everyday. AKA how much crap can I get done while in heels and dress pants without breaking a sweat or breaking my neck for the matter.

Soo... I was quite proud of today's lunchtime adventure. I happened to be browsing Bath and Body Works online and to my surprise they have their candles 2 for $20 which is my favorite of all time. AND I had a coupon. Double. Score. So happy hop I go to BBW to find they don't have the same flippin sale. After I assured the lady it was online, she looks it up on her blackberry, looks at me and says well I guess I'll honor it. HA! TAKE THAT! And please apply my coupon as well :) I am one happy girl

And in case your curious Fresh Cotton and Eucalyptus Mint are ah-maz-ing.

Next Stop was Trader Joes. My wine supply has been limited lately and well with shoulder surgery days upon us... it was time to stock up. The one good perk about Georgia- they can sell wine in grocery stores= convenience and MUCH cheaper than a normal store. If you have this same great pleasure of wine in your groceries you NEED to find a Trader Joe's because their wine is amazing, and best of all it is... listen carefully...  V.E.R.Y V.E.R.Y CHEAP! Cheap as in I bought 6 bottles for 30 bucks. And it's good. Really good. Never know the difference from the expensive stuff good.

And there you have it.... its the little things in life that make me happy! If only I didnt have 6 bottles of wine in my car while I'm inside working :) Bring on the weekend!

But Seriously....

This is turning out to be the longest. week. ever! I just spent my morning chasing my tail in a circle and at 11:45 am I am officially exausted. Its dark rainy and gloomy outside today I just want to crawl up in a bed. So I leave you with thoughts of the day...

Today is Ash Wednesday... I grew up Catholic so I used to have to go through the whole shebang but even though hubby and I have decided to join the baptist church (more on that) we still are going to honor Lent. Every year I feel its important to just take some time during Lent to pray and fast of some sort. This year I am giving up salt... yes salt.... I LOVE salt, you name it and I'll salt it. This is SUPER hard for me but its worth a shot. Hubby is giving up cursing. HA, seriously... he is horrible when it comes to the dirty words. This will be a work in progress..

Tonight hubs and I are going to the New Member class at church so we can become members. I am just soo excited to take this step and officially join the church. We have both found such happiness and great friends in this church. We have a young married small group I am just in love with and have really found great strength in the church! More to come...

This weekend I am determined to get anything and everything done before surgery. I am talkin booty scootin on the floor baseboards cleaning, windows, blinds you name it and it WILL be cleaned. I want to get my centerpiece done for my dining room, a mirror project made, its going to be one busy weekend and hubby will probably want to kill me but once surgery time comes I am donezo :/

Random question of the day bloggers... do yall have a living will?! Soo all the different people are calling me for this or that regarding the surgery and EVERYONE is asking me about a living will. I had no clue soo I called the one and only daddy thinking maybe had had one for me... I have never thought about this. The questions on it (via google) are kinda intense and freaky to think about. So I ask you... am I the only one without one?! Maybe I need to think about this. But its pretty intense

Last but not least.... ummm cute dress central where are you?! Where do yall shop (online that is) that has super cute dresses and not expensive. I need a spring wardrobe update! Rushe has been slacking lately!!

A very very happy birthday to one of the most amazing men in the world. For 90 years you have graced the world with your presense, your humbleness, your wisdom and most of all your love and dedication to your family. I am blessed beyond measure to call you my grandpa "pa"



Womp Womp...Women Tell All

Well its another day in Tax Season madness so this will be short in sweet....

Who watched the Bachelor's Women Tell All Last Night!? Can we say U.N.E.V.E.N.T.F.U.L! I mean seriously lets drag it out and make us wait 2 weeks for the finale which if you are anything  like me.... hellooo reality steve spoiler alerts!?!

Soo here are the highlights...

Umm Where did Jackie come from?! All the sudden last night she was just talking about anyone and everyone out there! Granted, I did love all her smart ass comments... she was saying everything I was at home yelling at the tv about.

Michelle... you are still crazy, I still think your nutso, and way to all the sudden bring your daughter into this. Pretty sure there was  none, nonezo, nada, mention of her when you were on the show and now all the sudden you want to squal your eyes out?! GRRR you frustrate me.

In other decently relative important news, yesterday was doctor check up day for this hell hole of a shoulder I have.... dum dum dum... surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday the 15th. I'm thinking with the one-armness I will be experiencing mixed with pain killers and my sarcastic "temper" this will prove to be some interesting blog posts to come... don't judge

And lastly, no worries, hubby is back on the nice list... he has been minding his manners and been a good little boy lately. He has one week... next week is surgery week and the next is female hormones from you know where.... fair warning to all.

Missing the grandparents a lot lately... it's their 90th birthday this month!!

Missing the worlds best daddy these days too... never seem to be home enough with him. I'm 24... does this ever end?!

Ring a bling, bling!! YES, I love this. I am sooo that girl that checks out any and every wedding ring I see. Like seriously. If you are standing next to me in the grocery line- I will check out your ring. Am I the only one?!

Did you look at rings together?
Umm yess! I, as the type A, OCD person I am was not about to leave something like my wedding rings up to hubs. I was front and center in that process. We spent an afternoon at the jeweler and built the set- it was such every little girls fantasy to have an entire jewelry store at their disposal. One lucky girl I am!

Do you like your ring? Did you from the beginning?...and be honest!

I LOVE my ring. There is such sentimental value from how far we have come. However, I will say this.... its heavy and wide. And I dont mean this is a big ring kinda way- but sometimes as wide as it sits on my finger and the weight and style of the ring sometimes bothers me. I would maybe have done something taller and thinner if I had to do over again. But I'm not complaining :)

How often do you wear your rings?

Always, well ok always when I am out. Typically when I get home from work and change clothes I take off all my jewelry. But I never go in public or travel without them. And when I do travel, I NEVER take them off.  

Do you clean your rings?

YES!! I am one of those girls that LOVES and insists on a clean ring. I take it to the jeweler about once a month to get the big steamer clean and to check my diamonds. I have a cleaner machine at the house I do about once a week! As rough as I am on those puppies gotta keep them clean. And hubby is actually pretty big about me taking care of them too ;)

What went through your mind the very first time you saw your ring?

Friday Thoughts of the Day

In no specific order of importance, relativity or thought for that matter..

It's Friday!!  Praise the good Lord Hallelujah it's finally Friday! Another long week in Tax Season Hell.

This is the first weekend in a month that I have not been traveling and will actually be in my own bed, my own house all stinkin weekend! Its supposed to be rainy and gross tomorrow which I'm not complaining about- HELLO laziness cleaning house time!!

Grace is getting fat. The dog Grace. I swear everytime I see her she has gotten fatter. I dont get it. We first blamed it on winter- like she is a freaking wild animal hibernating?! Who the hell knows... well its spring, she's still fat, and something needs to be done. Chunky Monkey has a slow metabolism like her momma.... oopps

Speaking of fat... momma is getting fat too. I dont know what my deal is today but today has been the ultimate FAT day for me. Ughh I dont get it  but TUBO is having one of those days and porky the piglet needs to get this under control asap!



I have zero motivation. I want to go home, put on my sweats, get a BIG glass of wine, plop my big tubo butt on the couch and entertain myself with some E! News, Say Yes to the Dress and whatever other useless tv I can find... Don't judge.

Congrats America on actually picking a decent American Idol this year. I can now have 1 more show added to my weekly TV laziness  errr.....

I don't know what my deal is, its not even my crazy time of the month but I've been grouch pouch this week. Maybe slightly stressed, busy, lack of sleep, babysitting husband, or something along those lines- maybe Its just me. I need sleep and alone time.
