Thoughtless Thursday and Exciting News...

1. Last day of work before I officially head home sweet home! Let me tell you... I can.not.wait. I haven't been home since Thanksgiving and for this daddy's girl thats about as long as I can go without some good QT time with my sweet daddy! I promise you there is truly no better feeling in the world than crossing that state line and being in Tennessee. NOTHING.LIKE.IT

2. Bestest time come few and far between. Especially since we all live so far apart these days. And with all of my recent fun with "Boomer the Tumor" I am so beyond ready to relax and forget about it all! On our way home tonight we are stopping in Chattanooga for dinner with some of my favorites. Sweet Bree Bree can't come so we will make do... Catch up time!

3. Why are doctors so dang slow?? Like HELLO! I have a large golf ball sized tumor in my liver and am miserable and you want to take your sweet dang time figuring all this out?! This is not a booboo on my arm people. This is a major organ. And I understand your busy, and it's Christmas, and all the other idiots that are just trying to meet their deductables for the year but I'm having a serious issue that you have even said was priority and I'm still waiting...no worries. Perkeset here I come.

4. Sooo I kinda have been hiding a secret.... It has been in the works for a while now. I'll try and keep it short and sweet... when I was initially looking for a job way back in the spring I had applied at Spanx....you all know what Spanx is I'm going to take it. Anywho, nothing came of it, I took the job Im at now and didnt think anything about it. I got an email from them about 2 months ago saying a position was open. So  I figured what the heck might as well....I NEVER in a million years thought anything would come of it. I had ZERO contacts within Spanx, it is Top 100 companies to work for in 2010 no way did I have a shot. 1 normal interview and 1 crazy interview with the top 4 executives in the comapny and here I have a job offer. God works in the most amazing ways. This is an opportunity of a lifetime. LIFETIME. This company is amazing- You wouldnt even believe all the perks. More about that later. I start January 2. I am very sad to leave where I am not but some things in life you just cant turn out. Soo...here I go. Off to the next journey feeling very blessed and beyond excited. Spanx me up! I am READY!!

OK thats enough excitement for today. I am so relieved to get that off my chest. I have been keeping this for over a month now but of course had to tell my company now and get all my happy little ducks in a row so to speak. Now it's off to occupy myself for the next 8 hours of boring-no-one-is-working-or-here-day-at-work. Happy 3 days till Christmas!

Monday Funday Recap

Happy Monday! Yet another weekend that went by WAY to quickly! WHY!?! They are just never long enough. Thankfully this is a 3 day week for me and it actually seems halfway manageable. Work today, Wedneday and Thursday... biopy all day tomorrow (not that it counts as a day off...but i will be drugged in a hospital bed sleeping most of the day) and Thursday night we are headed home sweet home Tennessee for some family Christmas and of course daddy and daughter time :) (my husband is throwing up right about now i'm sure). Now lets play catch up... all of extreme inportance

I present the Bills family 2011 Gingerbread train. Every year we do some sort of gingerbread house. Hubs started this when we first started dating and it's been one of those fun things we do every year. This year he found a train... I CANNOT wait until we have kids and can do this with them (HINT, NOT SO NEW HINT, HUSBAND)

We watched this yesterday afternoon... I havent seen it in a while and it was on with the other 860923 Christmas movies. I forgot how much I really liked this movie. Cute and fun for anyone looking for a holly jolly movie this week :)

OK blogger and I are now at war....the picutres are turned in my "mypics" but when they upload they are turning...any thoughts?! I was TRYING to share the wonderfulness of our Sunday.... movies, the christmas lights on and fire in the fireplace. I was seriously in perfect heaven. Here is a portion of our decorated mantel this year :)

GUESS WHO GOT A NEW STAND MIXER?! OK I am BEYOND excited. Like over the moon. I spent forever yesterday finding new recipes I want to make. And it's red...  perfection! I have heard nothing but amazingness from people with Kitchen Aids. I can.not.wait! Insert loud shrills here.....
Look at amazing little man. I am in love. A love like no other. And he isnt even mine. This is Carter....our good friends here in GA had this adorable bundle of joy almost six weeks ago (why does it go so quicky). And I am making a point to see him weekly if possible. He loves me... like really. Soo Saturday night we spent the evening at their house with friends and I was completely THAT baby hog that wouldnt let go. Don't judge.... I just want one of my own but for the moment he will do.

I will leave you with the most amazing Christmas song I have ever heard. Really brings to heart the true meaning of Christmas. I am listening on repeat. Enjoy :)

Thursday Thoughts

Happy Thursday! Its been the longest and shortest week for me. Only a 3 day work week...due to hospitals, doctors, needles and all this fun stuff still to continue and the longest week ever. Pain really gets the best of you... but on the happiness.

1. I officially win the WORST wife award. Like the worst. I had bought hubs 2 Christmas presents and 1 we are picking out together for him. So yes, total he will have 3 whopping Christmas Presents. I had FULL intentions to spend this week shopping but that's been slightly tabled. I have 1 more in mind I'm going to get today. So lets bring the count to 4. I SUCK. Complete slacking. Granted all are NICE presents. But I feel like crap. So what to do?! I'll make it up to him I promise. Don't judge...I already feel bad enough

2. I am attempting to make it up to him with a nice dinner. I am cooking his favorites tomomorrow night. Green Bean Cassesrole, Gourmet Mac & Cheese, Beef Brisket, hollendaus sauce and cheesecake. Since we travel for Christmas this will be OUR christmas fun. It's nice to just have us time alone before the madness begins. It usually involved lots of drinking eating and fun. Not so much drinking for me this time but the rest is game on :)

3. The 1st half of my biopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. Apparently this is a 2 part process. I'm slightly freaked out but the sooner we get this part done the sooner they can get this heap of a pain in my liver (get it...ok sorry) out and back to normal life we go

4. I am absolutely positively READY for 2012. 2011 has kicked our butts. And this is kinda just icing on the cake. 2012 is going to bring much more happiness, health and sanity to our lives. It will be the last full year for hubs in school which brings FUN changes for us and 1 step closer to home sweet home Tennesee!

5. Yall I am OBSESSED with the Christmas Tree Cakes. Like its not good. I normally am not a sweets person. I dont eat much of this stuff... but for some reason these Christmas Trees get the best of me. It's about 1 a day. And thats with MUCH self restraint. Has anyone had these?! They are just AMAZING. My jeans and scale HATE you.

6. Husband FINALLY bought me the Michael Buble Christmas CD.... I was completley holding out waiting for him to come through...point made. Thank you. And it is compeltely worth the wait. It is amazing. I've heard all the wonderfulness people have been saying about this CD and I completely agree. I am in love. His voice...mmmmhmmm....wow. Let's leave it at that ;)

That's all I got for today. I am so ready for the weekend to relax and enjoy being at home before the Christmas madness begins. I hope you all have a fan-tabulous day :)

That Time we Spent All Day at the ER

Soo I have VERY good reason for my lack of blogging yesterday. Lets start from the beginning and keep this short and sweet...

Saturday we spent most of the day at Church helping a huge Single Mothers brunch the church was hosting.... we were helping with the 300+ plus kids. Mid way through hubs and I got put in charge of this girl.... ok I love kids. LOVE. This was the child from living hell. HELL. She would scream, wouldnt stand up so you had to drag her, she pulled my hair, hit me, clawed me oh and kicked me OVER AND OVER. And her mother...yea one of THOSE moms that act like its no big deal. Seriously....child has issues. And it's sad. But needless to say I think this is where it all starts....

Sunday after church husband and I did some Christmas shopping and errands around town. I started to not feel great. Breathing felt kind of weird... so I started poking around my upper stomach area where it was uncomfortable (right below the diaphram kinda area) and I feel this knot....that creates this God awful ridiculous pain. We went home, it got progressively worse. I couldnt hardly move without this pain. Husband felt the knot too but Mr. Calm acts like its nothing.  1 pain pill and glass of wine to relax later I attempted to sleep
Then starts the fun... Monday I get up and halfway throw on my sweatpants and attempt to go to work. I got in the car and started bawling crying because it hurt to bad to sit up. Hubs drove me to work where I called the internal specialist dr to get an appt. This was the entire reason why we didnt go to the ER sunday.... I wanted to just go see a Dr. The Internal Dr. said we needed to go to the ER immediately.... by this time I wasw crying in pain and hubs picked me up from work and off we went. First was the ultra sound... where I literally came off the bed in pain...followed by the morphine....much better.....then a CT scan, bloodwork, pee test, Preggo test (negative) and by 6:00pm last night we get the results.... I have a mass in my liver...which is the knot you can feel....it needs to be addressed asap....SOOO one G.I. doctor, a biopsy and a surgeon later here were are on Tuesday waiting for the appt to get some answers. I'm not really moving...it hurts to bad and the doctor completely freaked me out when he said it cold rupture or tear and then you get all sorts of other problems. I'm surprisingly calm. I'm WAY more worried about Christmas being a week and 1/2 away and this is SOO not good timing.

Soo until then.... doctors orders. And to make matters worse... it's my LIVER....I'm just waiting for the doctor to tell me I can't have my vino....and I will NOT be a happy girl. Tis the season to be Jolly and Merry....not surgery and sober. Off to the races (aka attempt to shower and not look like T-TOTAL-CRAP)

Happy Tuesday!

All I want for Christmas

Christmas is such a wonderful time of year. I love the decorations, the music, the holly jolly tis the season.... BUT....Can I just be a grinch for a small minute..... There are soo many events, obligations, church functions and the big one...

My bank account is PATHETIC right now. And it stresses me out beyond belief. Like crazy. I WANT everyone to have gifts....and Im not even talking elaborate...just a gift. But WOW does it go quick. I told husband today we need to win the lottery. I know 123,478,342 other people feel the same way. But its just hard...Of course its worth it, OF COURSE. But December and January give me an ulcer. Where are the days when daddy gave me his CC for all my Christmas shopping?! THOSE were the days!

OK I'm done being Mrs. Grinch. This weekend is packed full for us... Tomorrow night we have our annual Home for the Holidays at church. There will be 3,000-4,000 kids and their parents there....think hayrides, petting zoo, crafts, food, games and of course.... SANTA. I am Santa's helper with pictures. Just call me Mrs. Elf. Husband is in charge of the hayrides. Soo....who will be inside next to the fireplace and warmth and who will be outside with screaming children?! Yes...that was planned accordingly. Saturday we are helping with a single mothers breakfast, playing with some more kids then FINALLY time to relax with hubs for the bday and MORE christmas shopping and wrapping. My wine drinking officially increases vastly during the holiday season! CHEERS!
