Ouch!!!

Ok so in most and I do mean most situations I am pretty tough. My daddy made me that way on purpose and with 24 years of life experiences I now know why...

Besides the point... Today was doctor check up day... I took hubby with me for encouragement and just in case I decided to pass out. It was remove the stitches day from where they went in and well I just am not good with blood and grossness... I have a pretty awful track record too... I have completely passed out  the last time I had stitches removed. Blood and doctor is not my thing.

I did good surprisingly enough. Very proud of myself!

Doctor said it looked good and I am going to start some very light pt to get moving and then in a few weeks start the real shoot me in the face big dog pt.

In other exciting news Sunday I have a "BLATE" Blog Date that is. Julie over at The Smitten Mintons and I found each other and instantly have decided we are the same perosn- like strange. Anywho- we dove right in and Sunday we have a lunch "blate" and I couldn't be more excited.

Other than that my life is quite boring.... sleep, wake up, attempt to get ready one armed style, sit in traffic work (BLAH), sit in more traffic, eat dinner, drink wine, see hubby for 15 minutes, bed... repeat

I leave you with pictures of my oh so exciting life as of late:

new super super cute dress from macy's- much cuter in person! Im so excited!

this was my life for 2 weeks stuck at home- at least the weather was nice (this was hubby's not nice picture taking)

Do you think they are a bit spoiled?! Head ON the pillow?! Especially for dogs not allowed on the bed

Yesterday's start to the morning commute...depressing

And my new amazing shoes- this are going to be my "go-to it" shoes...they even have pink soles and the bow is to die for! I am in love- now I just need a place to wear them to :)

Happy Thursday :)

So Maybe It's Been a While....

Since I've blogged that is...
Maybe since my life is a wee bit crazy busy lately.
Between the shoulder surgery and being too luppy/ drugged to type to trying to get back in the swing of work and oh yea I was in a wedding 5 hours away this weekend AND a family Birthday Party for my grandparents needsless to say its been...
a lot. Especially 5 hours away.

One of my best friends got married this past weekend... crazy to me when friends get married...
even though I'm married?! Why is that.... baby showers will be super weird I think.

Anywho- shoulder sucked trying to manage all the wedding festivities and outfit changes but thanks to super sweet hubs we managed.

Sunday we celebreated the grandparents 90th Birthday... crazy! I really don't know what I will do when they are gone.

Now its back to work, thankful for this weekend at home to actually get things done.

Hubby is on spring break this week.... completely. NOT. fair. while Im slave laboring 1 wing down over here. Hummphh..... Pay day will come when this momma can retire from working in a few short years and it will go something like this...

Baby makin...
House decoratin....
Mid day lunch dates for 3 hours at cute cafe's without a "lunch hour"
Maybe I'll even join a tennis league so I can be cute in my tennis skirt, at my lunch date
I'll drive my big ole Lexus SUV
And be super skinny because I'll actually have time to work out
I can finally cook dinner- since I'll be home and not working till 7:30

And hubby will be making the big doctor money and it will sooo be payback for this "spring break" of sorts... what 25 year old gets spring break!? Can you tell I'm jealous just a wee bit?! * only kidding hubs, I know you really do work hard... :) *

And Im rambling, because well I got nothing else to do... Pictures to come (once I get off my lazy tail and upload them that is)

I'm Alive.....But only halfway here!

Happy Friday!! It is absolutely amazing here in Atlanta today- 80 sunny and perfect. Too bad I can't be outside sun bathing :(
Well surgery went well for the most part. Here is the rundown:
hubby and I got up around 4:45 Tuesday morning. I was a nervous wreck. I listened to worship music the whole way there trying to calm myself down a little bit.
As soon as we got there and I got back in the prep area I think the nurses could tell I was anxious as hell so they got my IV up and pumping asap and gave me some of the good stuff chillaxing medicine. After what seemed like forever they finally let hubs back there with me. I needed him there to chill me out badly. Then came the fun news- I had to have a shot in my neck to start the nerve block-
I have a feeling from the size of my eyeballs when they told me this it triggered another round of happy medicine and I was good to go. I don't remember much- besides being wheeled into the surgery room, looking over and seeing the table with all the "instruments" saying something to the effect of oh my dear God and next thing ya know there came the oxygen mask and nighty tight I went!

Coming out of surgery was a whole different ballgame.... and not a good one. I guess I woke up just uncomfortable or not really aware of what was going on and well needless to say....the scene began. I was so freaking cold my entire body was seriously shaking I couldn't stop. Then I guess I wanted Jeremy to be there with me and they wouldn't let him yet so I was upset about that and yea... 3 or 4 nurses later, an entire machine they hooked in my bed to warm my body and my doctor to probably add some more shut the hell up meds  calming meds I was back asleep and then home before I knew it. Ooppps :)

Daddy came Tuesday afternoon which was just amazing. I can't say enough, he has such a calmness on me and it was just nice to spend time me and him while Jerm was at work and class the next day. I really don't know the last time daddy and I just had me and him time together. It really helped. We got out Wednesday and he drove me around just so I could get some fresh air- and not go stir crazy. Since then its been a lot of the same- sleepless nights, naps, feeling like Im constantly loopy, drunk, out of it, whatever you would like to call it! I have my grouchy moments, love getting my sponge bath (its the little things), and oh yea on episode 23 of Say Yes to the Dress.

As I type this now I feel soo out of it... it takes extreme focus here so no judging. Hoping to go back to work on Monday but we will see. Everything is such a process with this ginormous sling of thing. If I muster up enough energy to put on some makeup Ill take a picture :) It looks something like this- but a LOT bigger

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Well Here We Are....

Less than 24 hours from shoulder surgery and I have a knot in my throat right about now... or is that the string cheese I just ate?! Kidding... but seriously.... my nerves are about through the roof. The needles, the hospital, the unknown and lets not even talk about that sleepy sleepy medicine I am absolutely scared out of my mind about.

This won't be my first surgery by a long shot but it doesn't make it any easier. Hubby will be with me, which is comforting since he is all Mr. Medical and can handle this stuff. I, the wuss in the family, can not, and am demanding a setative asap when we get to the hospital. Daddy is coming tomorrow afternoon which helps me already. I'm just a mess.

I wish I had something more fun to blog about but quite honestly I'm not thinking about much else... well ok maybe 1 more tiny thing...

Dear Brad:
If you  DON'T PICK EMILY I THINK THE ENITRE COUNTRY WILL HATE YOU FOREVER. This is not hard, we all know she needs to win, can we please all have the fairytale come true and for you to not be an idiot, moron, jerk,  and pick Emily. I am beyond anxious for tonight. Of course they will drag it on and on for forever until 9:57 when he will finally have the final rose ceremony. You see why my nerves are a wreck... bachelor finale and shoulder surgery?! Geez

Last and finally, hubbo and I finally joined the rest of the modern world and we now have netflix. We ordered it through the Playstation so it streams live. I think we both sat there for 30 minutes in amazement of how &*%^$ cool this is.... ummm can you say 74 episodes of Say Yes to the Dress headed my way?! Yeppers, I think I will. Tonight we are going to have training session on how to use the Playstation remote so I can function this thing called Playstation. Ridiculous remote foreign creature that makes absolutely NONEZO sense

I will be back up and blogging as soon as the nerve block/ morphene/ pain meds/ grouchiness wears off :) Maybe a few days... Happy Monday aka 3.14 PIE day (as I was reminded this morning on the commute in)
