My Husband...

Happy Monday!! I soo hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It was 70 and sunny here in Atlanta and I can say by far we had the most amazing weekend. No plans no agenda, just my husband and I having soo much fun and enjoying our 2 days of freedom. Sooo onto the title of this post. Let me go back a little bit... do any of you just have those moments randomly when you step back from life and just reflect on your situation, your life and everything in it?! Mine came Saturday afternoon as hubs and I were driving home from errands with the sunroof open and music on... we were stopped at a red light when we hear sirens and maybe 50 yards away see this older man standing out by the road... he was waiting for the ambulance and fire truck to arrive. Jerm and I started thinking and talking about that situation... did his wife fall, did she have a heart attack, what was he thinking, was he ok, was SHE ok. It really hit us both and I think we both said a silent prayer. That poor man... you just wanted to go give him a hug and hope everything was ok.

It got me thinking about MY husband. There is no one in this world that makes me mad like he does. There is no one that can get under my skin and just GET to me like he can. But there is NO ONE that God could have created in this world to be more perfect and amazing than my husband is. I see on Twitter and on Facebook of wives that post about randomly coming home to a clean house or a cooked dinner- that is my husband daily. He is constantly DOING for me and providing for me regardless of how tired he is or how long of a day he has had. He constantly thanks me for providing for us while he is in school and he constantly reminds me of the pay off in the end. As much as I miss Nashville and I miss my friends and my family and my old job and well EVERYTHING about being home he reminds me this is God's plan not ours, this is God's way of strengthening our marriage and our commitment and well... I couldn't ask for anything more.

So my reflection this weekend, my step back from reality...I am one incredibly lucky lucky wife. God has provided beyond messure... and although it may not be how and where I want it to be... my husband makes it completely worth getting up everyday and making this journey just one more time. So, old man standing at the road waiting for the amubance for whatever reason might be going on in your life... thank you. Thank you for helping my life and for helping me to acknowledge another one of God's amazing blessings in my life.

I hope you can reflect...step back even for just a few minutes to see your blessings in life. It can be hard to find at times, but if we all look close enough... my GOD how blessed we are!

From beginning till now...

Happy Monday!

  4. Such a great tribute to your hubby. I couldn't agree more that my husband is the one person who can make me madder than a hornet - but the only person I would want to complete this journey with. We are some lucky ladies!
